I'm also ignoring filter lands like ] and ], since they really aren't used for color fixing very often. We also had the Alara 3-color fetches, like ] that were usually only used for synergy, since they're so much clunkier than other fetches. That was generally enough for any 2-color deck to find its colors, although 3-color decks had some trouble and had to play so many guildgates that they were significantly slowed down. We also had the lands that could go in any multicolor deck (], Evolving Wilds, Terramorphic Expanse, ], and ]). It used to be that for each 2-color pair, we had two guildgates, one gain land, and one bounce land (for example ], ], ], and ]). In the past 2 years, our list of multi-colored lands has absolutely exploded.
